What Is Regenexx® and What Is OCYON™?

Regenexx® is a corporation consisting of numerous clinics throughout the United States committed to a single vision. This vision is to heal patients, further develop, enhance, and evolve the field of Regenerative Medicine, and continue to be the leader in regenerative orthopedic care by offering the most advanced procedures in the world.

Ocyon™ is an idea. An idea in practice, that patients always have, and always will come first.

Every patient who walks through our doors is treated as our guest and we accompany them every step of the way on their journey of recovery. Our intention is to heal, educate and empower everyone who joins the Ocyon™ family of clients.

So what does it mean to empower and how can we help you to become a more empowered individual?

Knowledge is power. Self-knowledge is extremely powerful. When you begin to understand the nature of your body’s injury, you begin to gain some level of power over that injury. That is not to say that this knowledge will necessarily lead to healing of your injury, but by learning the workings of your body you will begin to dispel the feelings of helplessness that often accompany a physical injury.

Often times our injuries will never fully heal. However, by cultivating knowledge we can strengthen the supporting structures around the injury to compensate for any weaknesses. For example, an arthritic hip can oftentimes be greatly alleviated by simply strengthening the gluteal muscles at the posterior aspect of the joint. By understanding why a hip that loses the ability to externally rotate will cause the front of the joint to collapse and compress, we can begin to develop a proper rehabilitation and strengthening program.

The overall health of your body plays a major role when healing from a regenerative medicine treatment. Proper sleep and diet are vital to healing. Appropriate supplementation can also be beneficial in order to support healing. At Ocyon™ our goal is to guide each patient toward a better understanding of their physical needs and how a healthy lifestyle and proper nutritional supplementation can help enhance their healing experience and overall well-being.

We welcome you to be our guest as we help to guide you towards optimal health.

RANDY BALTAZAR

Orthopedic Manual Therapist

Randy draws from a long tradition of healers. His first exposure to manual medicine came from his father, a surgeon, who at a young age taught him how to identify and use the acupressure points of Chinese Medicine. Furthering his studies, he was led to the modern techniques of Dr. Janet Travell, and later integrated his own discoveries into his treatments. Early in his career, he worked closely with the Miami Dolphins. At that time he says one of this greatest joys was reading in the newspaper that players he had been working with had been taken off the disabled list. His work with the world of professional athletes continued with time spent with the New York Yankees, and well-known stars such as NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal, Shannon Briggs (boxer WBO Champion), Manny Pacquiao (Boxer World Champion) and Robbie Lawler (UFC Champion). His study of numerous modalities such as Neuromuscular therapy, Active release technique, Active isolated stretching, Trigger point therapy, Electrical stim therapy Cranial sacral therapy, Kinesio Tex taping, Vibration therapy, Aqua therapy, Thai massage, Ashiatsu, Shiatsu, Guasha, Cupping and Reiki eventually led him to the development of his own system which he calls RESULTS DRIVEN THERAPY -VIBROKiNESIS- The movement of muscle vibration and good vibes.

In his free time, Randy has been studying Equine anatomy and is a huge horse lover. His studies have led him to work with champion thoroughbreds, applying his human talents to our four-legged friends.

VICTOR SAGALOVSKY

Director of Nutrition

In the context of a holistic integrative approach to healthcare, how you feed your body is the most important aspect of your well-being. Anyone searching for information on how to eat properly for a long and healthy life is confronted with contradictory information. There seem to be a plethora different diets, protocols, belief systems, regimens and modalities that make it almost impossible to identify what kind of dietary lifestyle is the safest and most beneficial.  As the Director of Integrative Nutrition for Ocyon Interventional Regenerative Medicine, his mission is to complement the cutting edge therapies That Ocyon offer by empowering our clients with information that will guide them toward optimal healing and a preventative healthy lifestyle. Victor’s outlook is based on the simple philosophy that food can be your medicine and medicine can be your food.
